City Of Eunice - Recreation Areas

Eunice is blessed with having numerous recreation areas in the city. These are facilities for children, teenagers and adults alike to use and enjoy. These areas are maintained by the city and individual volunteers throughout the city. Volunteers donate their time to help upkeep some of these parks. In all Eunice has 6 tennis courts, 11 ball parks (softball & baseball ), 2 swimming pools, 2 covered pavilions, 1 basketball court, 5 childrens playgrounds, 3 picnic areas with covered tables, 1 walking trail w/lake, 1 city lake and 1 golf course. We are proud to have these recreation areas available to the citizens of Eunice for their use. Listed below are the parks locations. Listed next to the photos are the locations of each.

Eunice City Lake
1 mile west of Eunice, Hwy 190

This lake has recently been reconditioned and restocked for more enjoyments for our citizens and visitors to our area. With its trees and wood wharfs, the City Lake is an attractive source of relaxation which we are pleased to offer to the people of our area. Covered areas with picnic tables and barbecue pits are another charming aspect of the lake area.

EUNICE COMMUNITY NATURE TRAIL & WALKING PARK

West Maple Ave.

In 1977, the City of Eunice began developing this Nature Walking Trail for the people of our area. More than 6 acres of land, the Nature Trail is an almost 1 mile walk lined with different native trees. With its fishing pond, bridges, windmill and tree-lined walking area, this has developed into one of the loveliest locations in town.

EUNICE GOLF COURSE

Eunice Municipal Golf Course - Hwy. 190 West

This is a pleasant little course to play. The greens are kept in prime condition, and the fairways range from wide open to extremely narrow. There are over 675 trees that line the fairways or come into play on this course. Water hazards (two ponds, a lake, numerous creeks and streams) come into play on many occasions, so bring extra balls. This course was designed with the beginning to intermediate golfer in mind.
